Supported dialects

We name dialects explicitly instead of saying "supports Arabic." A dialect is only advertised as supported once it passes our private evaluation set, and the app shows no dialect label it did not actually measure.

Until then it is listed here as in evaluation or coming soon, with no accuracy claim attached.

Mixed-language speech

Code-switching is treated as its own problem, not an afterthought. For now, foreign words stay in the script they were spoken in, which is easier to correct than a wrong transliteration.

How a dialect gets promoted

We build an evaluation set of real clips per dialect covering different ages, genders, microphones, background noise, fast speech and code-switching.

We run the same clips through mainstream captioning tools and a strong open baseline, then measure word error rate, dialect fidelity, word timing error and — most importantly — how long a native speaker takes to correct the output.

A dialect is promoted only when the correction-time advantage is real and repeatable. If a dialect does not win, it stays on this page as not yet benchmarked.

Your dialect is not listed

Tell us which dialect you publish in and we will prioritise evaluation clips for it. Dialect requests from the beta list decide the order.
