Each step is marked from your account’s own activity. A key is only the start: you’re done when a transcript is saved and open in your application.
- Choose a sample or your own permitted recordingA short excerpt you know well works best: up to 10 minutes and 20 MiB, that you have permission to process.
- Create a server-side key with submission and transcript-reading permissionsGive it Submit transcriptions and Read transcripts, and keep it out of browser code.
- Run the quickstartPython, Bash or Node.js. It uploads once, then keeps checking the job.
- Save the JSON or SRTDownload the result before it expires, 24 hours after submission.
- Open the result in your applicationHighlight words during playback, or import the SRT into your player. Only you can confirm this step, so it stays open.

Subscriptions renew monthly or yearly until cancelled; minutes reset every month on both. Upgrades keep your billing interval and take effect after payment, with a prorated charge and extra minutes for the rest of the period. The renewal date stays the same.
Usage-based API
An alternative to a monthly plan, with no included minutes and no allowance to run out. Each successful job costs US$0.015 per processed audio minute, rounded up to whole minutes, with a minimum of 2 minutes (US$0.03) per job. Usage is invoiced monthly in USD and renews until cancelled.
Per minute, usage-based billing costs more than every monthly plan: 1,250 minutes would cost US$18.75 with it, against US$5.00 on Starter.
This option is separate from prepaid monthly minutes and top-ups.
